Following demand from existing clients (see below) who have used our strategy design and training services on Operating Model design within their enterprises, we are launching our new public course, called Applied Operating Model Design in May and June 2017.
We are very honoured to be working in partnership with EA Learning, a specialist Strategy Design and Architecture training business, in the UK and Australia.
The inaugural workshops will run in Sydney Australia on 22nd May 2017 and in London UK on 12th June 2017, with a calendar of courses for 2017-2018 to follow. Announcements about our US launch to follow later in the year too.
The course has been written and created by our founder Julie Choo and follows the framework from her highly anticipated book, THE STRATEGY JOURNEY® (coming soon later in 2017).
The focus of the course is on the Operating Model and the business transformation model, the fourth and fifth models that complete the THE STRATEGY JOURNEY® framework which is comprised of 5 models providing the link between strategy, architecture and execution. It will be run as a 4 day workshop blending research and discoveries from the framework with practical group exercises based on a case study. In the inaugural workshops, the case study will be based on a financial services firm, drawing from Julie’s extensive experience in this sector (with other industries to follow in 2018).
Stuart McClymont (Founding Director at Base60 Consulting in the UK and former Managing Director of JDX Consulting with global offices in London, New York and Singapore) who commissioned an in-house course for JDX speaks of the benefits of the training:
Participants will be able to create a target operating model (TOM), and most importantly learn how to implement it across an organisation, including driving mindset and cultural change. They will be able to understand how to prioritise their front-to-back capabilities in an organisation by location, with the appropriate blend of skilled delivery from experts vs automation vs outsourcing via strategic partnerships using our decision tree method. They will also understand the importance of process and data architecture in creating an agile operating model, developing the skills to drive business transformation and deliver outcomes that are actually aligned to business strategy.
Or send us an enquiry to register for the courses here.
